AES was DPV certified in 2003 and has provided DPV
validation as a standard feature. AES did not raise
prices nor offer as optional DPV primarily because
the benefits to mailers could not be ignored and we
did not want any of our customers to not use it.
AES products have always been Integra table. From
the beginning we considered that address data should
be certified before being committed to the database.
Ideally any address questions are resolved while in
contact with the recipient.
AES address certification was designed to work with
address streams. Unlike most address matching products,
Mail*STAR does not require specific fields, (i.e delivery
line, city, state, zip). Mail*STAR certifies data
as a block without the need to label address lines
and elements.
AES pricing is determined by our cost to develop
and maintain the product and pay USPS licensing fees.
Support is included at no charge and we are famed
for personalized same day support.
Until 2007 AES has been a small business concentrating
on support and development. Prior to 2006 all AES
customers came to us based on consulting relationships.
AES has never had a sales force being staffed by developers
and support people only.
In 2006 AES began marketing its products for the
first time. Encouraged by a decade of loyal customers
having selected Mail*STAR over other products based
on strenuous comparison, AES beginning with the 2nd
quarter 2007 is launching a marketing campaign designed
to capture significant market share and have a greater
impact on the mailing industry.
